Sustainability
As architects and individuals, we care about the environment. SchenkelShultz has pro-actively sought to incorporate sustainable, high-performing, environmentally sound buildings into our portfolio for a number of years. In an on-going effort to keep up with this goal, 15 of our employees are LEEDŽ Accredited Professionals by United States Green Building Council, further demonstrating our commitment to the principles of “green” design. SchenkelShultz recognizes that the impact of sustainable design goes beyond the long term maintenance cost savings. By designing buildings that are healthy for the environment, we also create buildings that are healthy for the users. Natural day lighting, low VOC materials and formaldehyde-free materials are all examples of sustainable principles that we incorporate into every project we design. Our 14 LEEDŽ Certified projects include:
