DBIA ARFF Wins FDOT Award

The state-of-the-art, new Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) Station at Daytona Beach International Airport replaced an outdated facility that was designed in  the 1970s. SchenkelShultz created a new station that efficiently provides fire services 24-hours a day and includes multi-vehicle drive through apparatus bays, offices, staff living quarters with a fitness facility, kitchen and locker rooms.

This new facility, completed for Volusia County, was awarded the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) 2019 Commercial Service Airport Project of the Year.
