Ramstein High School

Ramstein, Germany

Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA)

SchenkelShultz worked as the Architectural Design Consultants to CH2M Hill to provide Advanced Schematic Design Documents for Ramstein High School in Ramstein, Germany. The project is designed to replace the existing, outdated campus with a versatile, technology-rich 21st century school. The central activity commons is the focal point of the school and creates space for a variety of school activities, including dining, performances and additional learning space. The global information center is the media center of the future and includes technology-rich collaboration zones and spaces for group and independent study. The academic neighborhoods represent a new classroom paradigm. They include a series of learning studios and staff collaboration rooms that open into a larger learning hub, equipped with flexible furniture and technology, which encourages one-on-one, small and large group learning.
