Regional Public Safety Academy

The Regional Public Safety Academy is a multi-use facility designed to provide on-site and distance-learning training and education by incorporating innovative technology and best practices for 5,000 Regional First Responders (Fire, Law Enforcement and EMS) and future Public Safety Leaders. The Academy’s training areas include: an 18-lane indoor firing range, a state-of-the-art training space with movable walls that can be reconfigured to create specific training venues, simulation suites, an indoor fire station that can be used for indoor vehicular training and maintenance and multi-purpose recreational facilities with a gymnasium, exercise facility and locker rooms. The 132,000 SF facility was designed to LEED® standards and also includes administrative and office space with conference rooms and adaptable classroom spaces.
