SchenkelShultz was part of a design/build team that completed a 77,500 SF replacement warehouse storage facility to serve Shands Healthcare and all Shands facilities in North Florida. Designed for 24-hour-a-day operation, the facility features economical tilt-wall concrete construction with knock-out panels for a future 50,000 SF expansion and is equipped with a state-of-the art loading dock equipment and building automation system. The warehouse / office includes 5,000 SF of administrative office space and conference rooms and accommodates storage of medical, custodial and maintenance supplies, linens, as well as production areas for packaging center for sterile surgical/medical kits used in operating rooms.
