Valencia at Lake Nona
The first building on Valencia College’s new campus at Lake Nona needed to establish a strong presence for the College, while also complementing the surrounding community. The new 88,821 SF building, which includes a 6,541 SF central energy plant, was designed to reflect a Pacific Northwest aesthetic. Inside, the facility includes classrooms, science labs, library, bookstore, café, learning support services and administration. The interior of the facility was designed to meet the needs of the 21st century student by incorporating state-of-the-art technology and flexible furniture, which can adapt to a variety of teaching styles and allow for future program changes. As a Level 3 Green Globes certified facility, special attention was given to creating a healthy and sustainable environment.
