The rebuild of the 60-year-old Venice High School campus creates a new and inviting, civic presence within the community. The school is designed to be a modern, academic environment. One of the 21st educational components is the Technology Enabled Active Learning (TEAL) labs, which provide a hands-on, technology-rich environment that promotes collaboration and team building. The updated campus includes new classroom buildings, media center, administration and gymnasium. Additionally, the 351,196 SF high school includes the Venice Performing Arts Center, a theater that serves the school district, as well as the local Venice community. The complete rebuild of Venice High School occurred over a series a phases, in order to minimize disruption to the students who remained on campus.
