Weeki Wachee High School

Weeki Wachee, FL

Hernando County Public Schools

Weeki Wachee High School, a LEED® Silver certified project, is focused around a 21st century learning environment that achieved maximum flexibility. Utilizing a school within a school concept, each academic neighborhood is divided into four learning communities with classrooms arranged around a central extended learning area. Operable partitions allow for a variety of configurations, as well as a “flex” classroom used for teaching or testing. The most unique feature of the 218,997 SF high school is the Auditeria, which serves as the high school’s primary dining facility during the day and can be converted to a 500-seat performance space for community and school events.
