Ramstein High School Wins Award of Merit

For the 8th straight year, SchenkelShultz earned a design award in the Architectural Showcase at the Florida Educational Facilities Planners Association’s (FEFPA) winter conference. Ramstein High School was honored with an Award of Merit in the high school category recognizing the 21st century educational design. The new high school, for the Department of Defense Education Activity, has a multi-functional central activity common which serves as a dining area, performance space and provide learning opportunities outside of the classroom. Designed for LEED® Silver certification, it incorporated the site’s natural elements into the learning philosophy of the school with environmental learning labs, outdoor gardens and daylighting.
