SchenkelShultz is designing Seminole County Public Schools’ newest 21st century school for Millennium Middle School located in Sanford. The innovative school is being designed with a focus on the performing arts and will house 1,900 students. The state-of-the-art school will feature formal and informal collaborative spaces and innovative technology to enhance the learning experience. To accommodate the school’s arts magnet program, the design includes orchestra, band, vocal, drama and 2D and 3D digital labs. Additionally, the new middle school will have an 800-seat auditorium prominently located for the use by the community. The project also includes a new $4.8 million Intermediate Learning Center for 300 students at Midway Elementary School located at 2368 Brisson Avenue in Sanford.
